The #2 ranked Hudson Valley Community College men’s hockey team (13-5) defeated #4 ranked Broome Community College (14-7) 4-1 on Saturday.
The two teams were tied at 1-1 through the first two periods until Brett Fiorentino (Vestal/Vestal) scored early in the third. David Gardner (Lansingburgh/Lansingburgh) and Josh Dallman (Merrill/Merrill, WI) added two more goals to cement the victory for the Vikings. Paul Nicsevic Jr. (Colonie/Colonie) had a great game in goal only allowing one goal on 17 shots.
The Vikings travel to #1 ranked Monroe Community College for games on Friday and Saturday, February 11 and 12 at 7 p.m.
