The men’s hockey team (13-7) has secured the #2 seed for the NJCAA National Hockey Tournament at Monroe Community College (MCC). Host, MCC, earned the #1 overall seed and will take on #4 Dakota State at Bottineau. The Vikings will face off against #3 seed Erie Community College (ECC) on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 4:30 p.m.
Hudson Valley has played ECC three times this year, winning two of the games. For those three games, each team scored a combined nine total goals. The home team has won in each of the contests, so a neutral location should provide another competitive match-up between the two teams.
If the Vikings beat ECC on Saturday, they will face the winner of MCC and Dakota State at Bottineau on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. for the National Championship.
