The college’s Animal Law class will host guest speaker Mary Anne Kowalski of the Humane Society of the Capital Region, an expert and frequent lecturer on animal issues, on Monday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. in the Marvin Library Multipurpose Room.
The talk is open to all.
Kowalski will address the issue of “puppy mills,” seen on the rise across the United States including the Capital Region.
Animal Law Professor Valerie Lang said she fears as other states pass tougher laws to protect dogs, as well as consumers, New York State will lag behind. -We don-t want New York to become the next puppy mill state,- she said.
