The softball team (17-5) swept Clinton Community College (4-8) 10-1 and 7-4 on Tuesday afternoon.
Natalie Triano (Colonie/Albany) led the way going 3-3 with a double and an RBI with three runs scored. Meghan Matan (Shaker/Latham) went 2-3 with two runs and two RBIs, and Megan Mulholland (Lansingburgh/Lansingburgh) went 2-2 with two runs and an RBI. Katie Cahrenger (Waterford-Halfmoon/Waterford) spread out five hits over five innings with four strikeouts and one earned run.
Triano stayed hot in game two going 3-4 with a triple. Lori Pelersi (Bethlehem/Albany) was 2-3 with a double and a run scored, and Aimee Lefebvre (Waterford-Halfmoon/Waterford) went 3-3 with a triple and two RBIs.
The women travel to Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Thursday, April 28 at 3 p.m.
