The American Society of Civil Engineers Student Club traveled to Montreal last weekend to compete against RPI, Cornell, Clarkson, West Point, SUNY Buffalo, SUNY Canton, RIT, West Point and the Canadian school in our region, ETS, in the Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge Competitions.
Hudson Valley is the only community college that competes in the concrete canoe competition and until this year was the only community college that competes in the steel bridge competition.
We are very proud of our students who ranked 5th in the Concrete Canoe and tied for 3rd in the Steel Bridge at the regional conference. Unfortunately, that does not qualify us for the national competition, but we look forward to competing next year at Clarkson.
Hudson Valley Students once again competed against some of the most recognized engineering schools in the country and we showed them the right stuff!
