The softball team (19-7) had its 10-game winning streak snapped by Monroe Community College (18-15) falling 10-5 and 12-11 on Saturday afternoon.
Molly McDonough (Lansingburgh/Lansingburgh) went 3-4 at the plate with a double and two RBIs and Natalie Triano (Colonie/Albany) went 2-4 with a double and two RBIs in game one. The two teams exchanged leads early in the game, but Monroe came up on top.
In game two, the Vikings lost a hard fought game 12-11. Lori Pelersi (Bethlehem/Albany) had a big game at the plate going 5-5 with a double and three runs scored. McDonough and Triano both went 3-5 at the plate in the loss.
The women travel to North Country Community College on Tuesday, May 3 for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
