In May, the Academic Senate held elections and voted into office a new Chairperson and Second Vice Chairperson. New officers began their three-year terms on Aug. 1.

Rosemary Shultz previously held the position of Chair and Janice Hindes was Second Vice Chair.
The Academic Senate of Hudson Valley Community College is a representative deliberative governing body composed of members of the faculty, administration, staff and students of the college. The Senate meets monthly to review, examine, formulate, and discuss issues pertaining to the academic life of the college. Everyone is invited to participate.
The first meeting of the 2011-2012 academic year is Monday, Aug. 29 at 2:15 p.m. in the Campus Center Exhibition Room (CTR 204).
