EOC Project Expanded to Include All Graduates

The Capital District Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) in Troy is seeking all EOC graduates to participate in a statewide project that will highlight personal triumphs and successes of former students.

The deadline for submission of stories, memoirs, essays, pictures and/or video of graduates of EOCs from across New York State, and specifically from the Troy or Albany facility, is December 2011. Submissions should be sent to EOC, 145 Congress Street Troy, NY 12180 Attention: Katie Bradley.

SUNY-EOC graduates have traveled a long and sometimes difficult road to achieve their professional and educational goals. Some are now retired and still contributing to society in significant ways. Some are still working in their chosen careers. Each and every graduate has a story to tell.

All the material collected will be published in a booklet, titled Moving Mountains, to celebrate the individuals who triumphed over personal challenges to achieve success by highlighting their accomplishments and acknowledging their contributions. Moving Mountains also will demonstrate why these programs have become essential for the economic development of New York State.
