Board of Trustees Secretary George Raneri has been re-appointed to a two-year term on the Board of Directors of the New York Community College Trustees.
George has spent his entire career in education. He was an elementary school principal for 40 years, with 34 of those years in the Averill Park School District.
Named a Trustee Emeritus in 1999, George has served as Secretary to the Board of Trustees since 2000. He was appointed to the Hudson Valley Community College Board of Trustees by the Rensselaer County Legislature in the Fall of 1981. He was reappointed in 1989 and continued to serve as a Trustee until 1998.
He is the proud father of three Hudson Valley faculty members — George Jr., Rosanne, and Christine.
