Women’s Soccer Team Ties Clinton 0-0 in Defensive Battle

The women’s soccer team (0-1-1) was locked in a defensive battle with Clinton Community College (1-1-1) on Tuesday evening. Even with two overtime periods, both teams failed to score a goal and the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

The whole team chipped in a great defensive effort and Jacqueline Howe (New Lebanon/Stephentown) led the Vikings with 16 saves in goal recording her first collegiate shutout.

The women host their first game of the season Saturday, Sept. 10 at 1 p.m., as they square off against North Country Community College in the first game of a women’s and men’s doubleheader.
