573 Smiles, 120 points and 84 Pumpkins!

A special thank you is given to the Student Senate for organizing and sponsoring a day and evening of Halloween festivities for the college and community!

On Thursday evening, 573 members of the community attended the fall festival in McDonough Sports Complex that featured Radio Disney, Heartfelt Clowns, Mr. Twisty, magician Jim Snack, carnival games, a photo booth and delicious refreshments from Chartwells. The charming and frightening costumes worn by children and adults added much to the Halloween atmosphere.

The afternoon’s pumpkin catapult launch featured five student teams. Each launched four pumpkins with scores based on distance and accuracy. The winning team accumulated a total of 120 points!

This year, 84 pumpkins were entered in the carving and sculpture competition. Thank you to all who entered. The day yielded the most creative ideas in all the years of competition.

Recognition is given to all on campus who helped make the Pumpkin Palooza events possible. Special appreciation is given to Alfredo Balarin, Kenneth Dagostino and Eileen Maloney for coordinating all of the day’s events.

Have a Happy Halloween!
