Blackboard Tip of the Week

Did you know that you could store documents on your HVCC Web space or in one of your “z” areas and link to them instead of uploading them to a specific course?

This comes in handy when you teach more than one section of a course. For instance, instead of editing your syllabus and uploading it to two or three courses you can simply edit it in one place and be done! The link is already there so as long as you do not change the name of your document, you need not do anything more.

If you choose to do this in a “z” area, you will need to change some settings in the “z” area. The advantage of this over using your Web space is that your documents are not viewable to anyone outside of Blackboard.
