The Voices: A Library Lecture Series Committee is pleased to present “Christianizing Lincoln: Historical Memory and the Religious Views of Abraham Lincoln” by Samuel P. Wheeler on Wednesday, Apr. 6 from 11:00 to 11:50 a.m. in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center Auditorium.
Samuel P. Wheeler, a researcher with the papers of Abraham Lincoln, will examine the debate over Abraham Lincoln-s religious views. Following his assassination, religion proved to be one of the most contentious battlegrounds in the war over Lincoln-s memory.
