Thoughts from Campus Ministry — Springtime

Springtime

Spring is here! The increasing light and warmth of the season send powerful signals to the natural world. It’s time to start growing again, to come back home and to wake up!

Like plants and animals, we too respond to the signals of spring. We increase our outdoor activity, de-clutter our homes, our mood and outlook on life brighten, and we may already be thinking about summer! On a deeper level, spring is a great time to recommit to resolutions made at the beginning of the year and reassess our priorities. As we de-clutter our homes and workspaces, we may also be motivated to de-clutter our minds and hearts to focus on what’s essential.

If you are a student, you may be reflecting on the results of midterms and on your goals for the second half of the semester. You may be encouraged by your results to continue along your present path. You may decide that it’s finally time to get a tutor or seek the advice of an academic advisor.

Whatever the decisions you face, let the positive energy of spring be your source of strength.

Peace and Blessings
