Students from the Teacher Preparation department will be participating in an interview session with WMHT.
The local Public Broadcasting station has been awarded an American Graduate Teacher Wall Grant with funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The project celebrates teachers by providing an opportunity to amplify their voices within their community.
With additional support from NYSUT, WMHT will interview pre-service teachers and ask such questions as, “If you could change one thing about American education, what would it be?” and “What is the best thing about teaching?”. These interviews will appear on the national American Graduate Teacher Wall and will be distributed locally.
These one-minute messages will appear through September 2012 around key WMHT programming.
