United Group housing to target Hudson Valley students

The Troy-based real estate developer, United Group, plans to build residential housing aimed at attracting Hudson Valley Community College students.

Plans shared at the college Board of Trustees meeting on June 26 indicated the construction of a four-story facility on Glenmore Road with 300 beds in suite-style apartments. The housing, which will not be funded or managed by the college, is planned to open in the fall of 2013.

The United Group built other local student residence facilities at Schenectady County Community College, SUNY Adirondack and University at Albany.
