Hudson Valley, SUNY Fredonia Sign Transfer Agreement for Communications Degrees

Hudson Valley Community College and SUNY Fredonia recently signed a transfer agreement that allows qualified students to transfer directly from the community college into Fredonia’s baccalaureate programs in Video Production and Journalism.

With proper advisement and a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, students graduating from Hudson Valley’s Broadcast Communications associate degree program can enter Fredonia as juniors in either the Video Production bachelor of science degree or the Journalism bachelor of arts degree. Both degrees are part of SUNY Fredonia’s Communications Department.

The Hudson Valley Community College Broadcast Communications degree program is delivered in partnership with The New School of Radio and Television in Albany, New York. The program is designed to provide students with the academic background and the professional experience appropriate for employment in the fields of broadcast journalism, radio and television arts, or television and video production and for possible transfer to a four-year institution.

For more information about the new transfer agreements, contact the college’s Fine Arts, Theatre Arts and Broadcast Communications Department at (518) 629-7347.
