Save the Date! 32nd Annual Meritorious Service Awards and Pinning Ceremony

The 32nd Annual Meritorious Service Awards and Pinning Ceremony will be held on Friday, Dec. 7 in the BTC Auditorium at 3 p.m. At this ceremony, the college will honor Classified Staff members from among Hudson Valley, Capital District Educational Opportunity Center and Faculty Student Association employees, who have been chosen to receive Meritorious Service Awards in recognition of outstanding service above and beyond the requirements of their positions.

In addition, employees who have been with the college for five or more years of consecutive service are eligible to receive service recognition pins, which are awarded in five-year increments.  This year, we will have the honor of recognizing 175 of our colleagues for service anniversary years. Twenty-one will celebrate 25 or more years of dedication and service to the college.

Please click here for a list of all employees eligible for pins this year. Please be sure to check your name and other information for accuracy. If your name is not on this list and you think perhaps it should be or if there are any inaccuracies, please contact Anne Minehan (ext. 7144) or Suzanne Brownrigg (ext. 8108) by phone or e-mail and we will be happy to verify your information with Human Resources.

Again this year we invite everyone to bring a donation for the college Food Pantry to the ceremony. A collection station will be located at the entrance to the auditorium.  Items most needed include:

  • Snack-packs (granola bars, cheese and cracker packs, nuts, fruits, etc.)
  • Instant soups (Ramen, single serving warm-up soups)
  • Pudding packs
  • Lunch packs
  • Heat ‘n eat meals
  • Complete meal packages (pasta w/sauce, etc.)

This event has always been a wonderful way to begin the holiday season at Hudson Valley as we celebrate our fellow employees’ achievements and service. A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony in the BTC meeting rooms.

Please plan to join us on Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. to celebrate with your colleagues and welcome in the holidays with good food, good friends and music of the season!
