The Hudson Valley Community College men’s hockey team (2-1) defeated Albany Club (0-1) 8-2 on Tuesday evening.
Hudson Valley went up 4-0 in the first period and never looked back. The Vikings scored the first eight goals led by Mike Sablesak (Syosset/Syosset) who recorded his first hat trick of his collegiate career. Nick Inella (Schreiber/Port Washington), James Murphy (Comsewogue/Long Island), William Huber (Arlington/Hopewell), Mason Goss (LaSalle Institute/East Greenbush), and Vincent Walker (Dryden/Dryden) also all scored in the six-goal victory.
The Vikings host Wagner on Friday at 4 p.m.
