If you are cooking popcorn in the microwave or heating up your lunch in a toaster oven, please do not leave your food unattended!
Several times a year, the fire alarms are set off by burning food. This careless act not only summons the local fire department to a non-emergency, it disrupts students and staff across campus. Plus, burned food creates a terrible odor that nobody likes.
So, please take the time to stay with your food until it is finished and enjoy your meal or snack.
