The Workforce Development Institute (WDI) again is offering its popular Medical Transcription Online + Live-Online training from April 10 to Nov. 6, 2013.
Demand is growing for Medical Transcriptionists, who specialize in transcribing a physician’s written and oral records into a digital format. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Outlook Handbook, average salary for full-time medical transcriptionists is approximately $32,900.
The WDI course provides training in Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Transcription. The majority of the lessons are done independently, while periodic “Live-Online” sessions allow the students to join the instructor in a “virtual classroom.” Students can expect to spend 12 – 24 hours a week on this course.
Medical Transcription Online + Live-Online training is ideal for those looking for a new career or a steady second-income. Plus, most medical transcriptionists work from home as independent contractors and enjoy the flexibility of setting their own schedules.
Tuition: $2,059. Books and equipment, costing approximately $500, will be available for purchase at the Viking’s Cove Bookstore.
Job placement assistance is available to successful graduates!
