The evening of Jan. 26, the officers and members of the Sheehy Palmer VFW Post #6776 will be participating in the Commander’s Inaugural Homeless Veterans Awareness event.
The Commander and his officers will be sleeping outside the Post on the front lawn to shine a light on the plight of far too many of our Brothers and Sisters in Arms. Come join them as they “Freeze Out.”
Bring in new (or lightly used) cold weather gear. Boots, socks, gloves, hats, jackets, etc. all are in demand this time of year. Help us as we keep our own safe this winter. The following morning, we (fingers crossed) will be having a pancake breakfast. Donations may be dropped off the night of the event or during the breakfast.
