Men’s Basketball Holds Off Twins in OT

 

The men’s basketball team (14-9) defeated Columbia-Greene Community College (8-12), 57-51, in overtime Saturday afternoon.

The Vikings held on in overtime to earn a six-point victory despite the Twins closing an 11-point deficit in the last three minutes of the game which forced overtime. Jeremy Taylor (Catskill/Catskill) led the Vikings with 16 points, and Giacomo Giglio (Catholic Central/Glenmont) added 10, including two free throws that iced the game in overtime. Richard Williams (Harry S. Truman/Bronx) recorded eight points, 12 rebounds, and a career-high five blocks in the win.

The men travel to Clinton on Wednesday, Jan. 30 for a game at 6 p.m.
