Faculty: Help with your work

The Center for Effective Teaching sponsors a group of faculty mentors who are not only cross-trained on the technology to be found in our classrooms, but who also are  well versed in the how-to’s of WiRed, Microsoft Office software, and the day-to-day routines on campus.

If you find that you would like some assistance with any of these to make your day run more smoothly, you may want to e-mail mentors@hvcc.edu.

If you have a free hour and a need to learn something like how to email your whole class or how to run a video from the instructor console, or maybe how to enter your midterm grades, mentors are available during the week in the Faculty Resource Room (BTC 1052) as follows:

Monday
8 – 9 a.m., Toni Howard
noon-1p.m., Milt Connors
Tuesday
11 a.m. – noon, Tony Podlaski
Friday
noon – 1 p.m., Michael Such
2 – 3 p.m., Milt Connors
And if you need a mentor to come to your office to help you, contact our Mentor on the Move, Mary Beth Farr (m.farr@hvcc.edu).
Please don’t hesitate to contact our mentors with anything from a quick question to letting us know what kind of computer training you might need. If it’s possible, we’ll do it!  The Center for Effective Teaching is here for YOU!
