Blackboard offers instructors a wide range of powerful tools they can use to web enhance their face-to-face courses. Web-Enhanced Course (WEC) training is readily available to faculty through the Center for Distance and Online Learning. With it, an instructor can expect to start effectively web enhancing her/his course(s) after an orientation of only 1 ½ – 2 hours!
WEC training sessions are scheduled for each Thursday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. starting on March 28 in the computer lab, BTC. If you are interested in reserving a spot at one of these training sessions, simply contact Mark Petersen (629-8128 /m.petersen@hvcc.edu) at least 24 hours before the date/time that that session is scheduled to be held.
WEC training also is on an on-demand basis and can take two forms: in-person training (one-on-one or group) with Mark in the Center for Distance and Online Learning or remote training (one-on-one or group) conducted using the Collaborate webinar software. To make an appointment for on-demand WEC training, also simply contact Mark to arrange a mutually convenient time for that training.
