Kateri Phillips, a dental hygiene program alumna, shares this message:
I only have a few days left to reach my fundraising goal! Please help by donating at http://pages.teamintraining.org/uny/lkgrgtri11/kphilliilm or contact me on Facebook for my mailing address if you prefer to send a check.
Being a survivor of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma myself and the niece of someone battling myeloma, I can’t tell you how much this means to me and how much this organization helps people. Not only by funding research, but also by financially and emotionally supporting the people affected by these diseases.
I’m training to participate in the Lake George Triathlon Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line – a cure!
