Do you want to learn about the new version of Blackboard from the comfort of your office or home? In addition to the scheduled workshops on this subject (Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 -10 a.m, and Wednesdays from noon – 1 p.m.) in BTC 1033, and the option of scheduling a date and time for coming by the Distance Learning Office for one-on-one training, you can now also schedule a date and time in which to receive training from your home or office using the webinar software, Collaborate.
Here’s what you do: call me or e-mail me (629-8128/m.petersen@hvcc.edu) and let me know on what date/time you would like to do a training webinar (please be sure to contact me at least 24 hours before the date/time of the training that you would like to schedule). I will send you a link to the webinar, which you will then be able to join a half-hour before its scheduled start time.
Alternatively, if you are unfamiliar with Collaborate, we can do a webinar on how to use this application and then schedule a second webinar in which you get an introduction to the new version of Blackboard. You can even kill two birds with one stone and schedule a webinar in which you both learn about Collaborate and become acquainted with the new version of Blackboard! I will be happy to accommodate you whatever your preference!
