Hudson Valley Community College has issued a request for proposals (RFP) asking private companies to submit plans to acquire by ground lease the former Hy Rosenblum Administration Center property and develop student housing.
The request for proposals calls for bidders to submit plans that would include removal of the 91,000 square foot seminary and adjacent garage and the creation of student housing on the property. The agreement, if completed, would allow a private developer to acquire land by ground lease, finance, build and operate student housing independent from the college. Any development on the property also would be subject to traffic and environmental impact approval before moving forward.
