Michael Pollan Coming to Campus; Tickets Required

Exclusive on-campus ticket sales close at 4 p.m. today for bestselling author and journalist Michael Pollan, who will be on campus Tuesday, Oct. 25 to present “In Defense of Food: The Omnivore’s Solution.”  In his talk, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the Maureen Stapleton Theatre, Pollan explores what the industrialization of food and agriculture has meant for our health and happiness as eaters, and looks at the growing national movement to renovate the food system.

Pollan’s appearance is a ticket-required event and expected to be sold out! Therefore, Cultural Affairs is offering tickets exclusively to faculty, staff and students – with ID! Faculty/staff members may purchase one ticket for $20 and up to three additional tickets for $35 each. Students are entitled to one free ticket and may purchase up to three additional tickets for $35 each. (Remaining tickets will be offered to the general public for $35 each beginning at midnight Tuesday.)

Cultural Affairs urges members of the campus community not to delay in acquiring tickets! Tickets will be sold between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. in GUN 267. Cash, check (payable to FSA), Discover, Master Card or Visa will be accepted for payment.
