The Marvin Library recently added “WestlawNext” to its repertoire of scholarly databases, and we invite you to try it out. While primarily a legal research database, truly a law library unto itself, Westlaw also partners with Reuters to bring extensive U.S. and international news coverage.

We are busy creating criminal justice and legal tutorials, and encourage employees to attend a Westlaw general legal workshop in the CET on Sept. 17. (Please click here for the CET workshop schedule for the month of September.) In addition to a general legal research session to be conducted Sept. 17, a Westlaw for News session will be provided on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Both session are at 2 PM in the CET lab.
Westlaw replaced Lexis as our primary legal database. We look forward to your feedback and are happy to collaborate with faculty on incorporating this multifaceted database into assignments and research papers.
