CDTA adds buses to two routes during peak hours

 

The Capital District Transportation Authority announced service enhancements in response to an increase in ridership during peak time periods.

Effective Oct. 1, the CDTA added service on a pair of routes. Increased ridership associated with CDTA’s universal access agreement with Hudson Valley Community College warranted adding morning trips to Route #224, while additional morning and evening service on Route #737 aims to benefit an influx of new workers within Corporate Woods.

Enhanced Service Snapshot:

  • Route #224 (Albany-Troy-Rensselaer): Additional northbound trips will be added weekdays between 7 and 8:45 a.m. Buses will arrive at a 15-minute frequency during this time period.

Trips leaving from Empire State Plaza to Troy:
7:01 a.m.
7:16 a.m.
7:31 a.m.
7:46 a.m.
8:01 a.m.
8:16 a.m.
8:31 a.m.
8:46 a.m.

  • Route #737 (Corporate Woods/Airport): Four additional trips will be added to Corporate Woods. There will be two morning trips (a.m. westbound) added along with two afternoon trips (p.m. eastbound). Buses will arrive at 30-minute frequency during these time periods.

Additional trips leaving from downtown Albany:
6:40 a.m. and 7:40 a.m.

Additional trips leaving from Corporate Woods:
4:06 p.m. and 5:06 p.m.
