Please consider participating in Hudson Valley Community College’s annual Giving Cup competition! The competition is open to all departments, including academic, administrative and student services. The Student Senate and student organizations also participate. It’s a campus-wide collaborative effort to increase donations to and raise awareness of the College Food Pantry!
The final day to submit donations is April 11, 2014 and a winner the announced by the end of that month.Participating departments should:
— Collect food donations within your department/organization
— Tabulate your food items weekly and e-mail Kit Haynes (k.haynes@hvcc.edu) to receive credit for the donations. (Count each item. For example, a 6-pack of juices is 6 items.)
— Deliver items weekly to the Food Pantry in the Student Activities Office (CTR 210)

We’ve gotten a late start this year and the pantry really needs your donations!
Many of our students are often dealing with issues of economic hardship while juggling their academic and other responsibilities. The food pantry helps meet some of their basic needs so that they can continue to be successful at Hudson Valley.
