The college food pantry needs your donations! Why not help a hungry student and join the (mostly) friendly competition.
What’s in it for you? Participating departments are invited to a lovely luncheon provided by The Center for Service Learning and Civic Engagement, perhaps with entertainment. The big trophy is awarded at this time to the winning department, as well as the participant recognition trophies. (Yes, everyone gets a trophy. But only one department can claim the BIG trophy for one year. The Math Department is the current champion.
Although the History, Philosophy, and Social Sciences department is not competing in the competition this year, we are still collecting food. We currently have 20 items and are willing to give those “points” to the very next department that signs on to the competition. Just contact Kit at 629-7690 or k.haynes@hvcc.edu. This offer ends at midnight Friday (10/18).
