Dr. Steve Chen and the staff of Information Technology Services were honored by the State University of New York with the University Award for Systemness Innovation in recognition of their “outstanding contributions to the SUNY Shared Services Initiative.”
Dr. Chen and the ITS staff, working in collaboration with their counterparts at the University at Albany, have developed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions for shared information technology services, including the establishment of direct, private, fiber connectivity between Hudson Valley Community College and the University at Albany.
The award was presented by Brian Hutzley, vice chancellor for Shared Services and Regional Economic Development, at the regional Shared Services Meeting held at SUNY-New Paltz on Monday, Oct. 21.
