One week after earning Conference Coach of the Year, Jay Pokines, women’s soccer coach, was named Region III Coach of the Year on Saturday morning. Pokines led the Vikings to a 7-6 record and to the quarterfinals of the Regional Tournament.
Alexi Anderson (Heatly/Green Island) earned First-Team All-Region honors and goalie Emily Taplin (Mekeel Christian/Charlton) earned Second-Team honors for the Vikings.
