The women’s basketball team (5-5) defeated Broome Community College (1-8), 62-47, on Saturday afternoon.
Samantha Tomeck (Duanesburg/Duanesburg) had a big second half, scoring 22 of her 23 points to lead the Vikings. Shikera Lawson (Albany/Albany) added a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Sarah Janson (Scotia-Glenville/Scotia) chipped in 12 points, eight rebounds, four steals and two blocks in the win.
The women travel to North Country Saturday for a game at 1 p.m.
