Theodore (Ted) Adams has been named chair of the Human Services and Chemical Dependency Counseling (HUS) Department beginning Spring 2014, replacing long-time department chair, Professor Karen Nash, who will be joining the HUS faculty as a full-time member.
Ted is a 1997 graduate of Hudson Valley’s Chemical Dependency Counseling program, going on to earn a bachelor of social work degree from University at Albany and two masters of science degrees from Springfield College: Organizational Management and Leadership and Licensed Mental Health Counseling. In addition to teaching, including a year at Hudson Valley (2006-07), Ted has a wide range of experience in the human services field, working in direct care, case management, counseling and therapy, clinical director, and as director of services, both here in the Capital Region and in Florida, where he has lived for the past six years.
