The Theatre Club is once again very pleased to partner with Unity House of Troy for it’s eighth annual production of The Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler with performances scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Maureen Stapleton Theatre.
For the first time ever, the club’s student members and Rosanne Raneri, faculty director, are inviting women staff and faculty members to join the cast!
No audition is necessary; the first meeting and sign-up session will be held this Thursday, Jan. 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. (Participants do not have to attend the entire session, but may arrive when it’s convenient.) There will be only five rehearsals preceding the two performances and lines do not have to be memorized.
The Vagina Monologues is based on interviews conducted by Ensler and reveal a provocative range of women’s experiences. They communicate the harrowing tragedies, the hilarious adventures, the varying and individual truths, and the poignant beauty of women’s lives.
