The new version of Blackboard Collaborate

Hudson Valley Community College very recently upgraded to a new version of Blackboard Collaborate, the powerful communication tool that allows you to create and conduct webinars within your Blackboard courses or organizations.

The upgraded version is more robust than ever. However, the new interface for creating and modifying webinar sessions is entirely different, and even folks who have had Collaborate training and/or use the program may find it unfamilia. For this reason, the Distance and Online Learning Office is offering the following options for receiving training on the new version of Collaborate:

  1. A training session on the new version of Collaborate has been scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 6 from 1-2:30 p.m. in BTC 1033. You can attend this training session without an RSVP.
  2. You can arrange a date and time for in-person, one-on-one or group training on Collaborate.
  3. You can arrange a date and time remote one-on-one or group trainingusing Collaborate itself.

If you elect to go with option 2 or option 3, simply contact Mark Petersen (629-8128/ m.petersen@hvcc.edu) in the Distance and Online Learning Office to arrange a date and time for Collaborate training.  Also, please feel free to contact Mark if you have any questions about any of the Collaborate training options.
