On behalf of her family, Jeanne Sedgwick recently established the ‘Sweet and Lovable’ scholarship to honor the memory of her parents, Arthur and Susan Coyle.
The Coyles were known for their community interest and civic endeavors. These funds will be made available to students pursuing careers in the fields of law enforcement and nursing, ensuring that students who dream to be nurses or law professionals will be able to pursue their academic goals at Hudson Valley Community College.
Scholarships will be offered to students with a minimum GPA of 3.0, who have earned at least 12 credit hours. Two $500 scholarships will be offered for the Fall 2014 semester – one to a Nursing major and one to a Criminal Justice major.
