The team (4-1) defeated Suffolk County Community College (0-6), 8-3 and 8-2, on Friday afternoon.
Lewis Lima (Guilderland/Guilderland) pitched four scoreless innings, allowing only one hit to earn the win. Matt Sand (CBA/Altamont) led the Vikings with two hits, and Zach Steimer (N/A/Ballston Spa) hit a three-run homerun in the win.
Game two was much of the same as Franklin Miller (Ballston Spa/Ballston Spa) earned the win on the mound, allowing only one unearned win. Casey Cohan (Saratoga Catholic/Saratoga) recorded three hits, and Cameron Bow (Mt. Anthony Union/Shaftsbury, VT) added two hits and four RBIs to complete the two-game sweep.
The Vikings host RPI JV on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
