Write All Night on Wednesday, April 9

Midnight has often been viewed as a turning point. Cinderella, for example, changed from a princess into a cleaning girl, and her coach and horses turned back into a pumpkin and mice when the hour of midnight struck.

And by midnight on Wednesday, April 9, Hudson Valley students, too, may experience a change. In this case, however, they may be transformed into successful writers if they attend the “Write All Night” program on the lower level of the Marvin Library Learning Commons.

“Write All Night” is a special, one-time-per-semester program that provides students an extra opportunity to get help on their term papers or other writing assignments. Writing specialists will be available from 10 p.m. to midnight on April 9  to answer questions and provide general feedback.

In the past, for instance, some students have used this special session to properly cite their research sources using MLA or APA documentation, while others have used the opportunity to straighten out problems in verb tense, point of view, or subject-verb agreement.

Please spread the word, so your students are aware of this valuable opportunity!
