Over 400 attend Hudson Valley 101

Over 400 people attended the Hudson Valley 101 event this past Saturday, including nearly 200 prospective students. The attending students have been accepted for Fall 2014 and are currently completing the enrollment steps.

They were welcomed by Dr. Carolyn Curtis, vice president for academic affairs, followed by a presentation reviewing the steps to enrollment. Students then had a chance to meet with a representative from their academic department. The day finished with campus tours.

The Viking’s Cove Bookstore was open and the Tour Guide Club provided campus tours. Audio-visual, set-up and catering crews assisted behind the scenes. The football and softball teams greeted attendees and acted as student ambassadors for the event, escorting families to their departmental presentations.

Thank you to everyone who made this enrollment support event a success. We had a tremendous turn out and everything ran very smoothly.
