Please join us in congratulating Gabriele Hamm, dental assisting coordinator and faculty member. She has successfully completed the requirements for the certificates of completion in both Leadership Development and Academic Advising! She will be recognized formally for her achievements at this year’s Faculty & Staff Honors Convocation.
Gabriele has been with the college for more than 18 years and in her tenure at Hudson Valley Community College, she always has been strongly interested in her professional and personal development.
She holds a New York license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), she also holds her national certification as a Certified Dental Practice Management Assistant (CDPMA) and a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). She and a campus colleague developed the Dental Assisting Certificate Program (DAC) and the Alternative Dental Assisting Program (ADAP) as the first distance learning online certificate program in dental assisting.
Gabriele is an active member of the American Dental Assisting Association (ADAA), New York Dental Assisting Association (NYDAA) and Webmaster of the Capital District Dental Assisting Group (CDDAG). She also is active on campus as a member of the Blackboard Learning Management System Committee, serves on the campus Experts List, and established and manages the Dental Hygiene Department “KiDz Corner” educational web-link. This past February she and a campus colleague facilitated a session on “Distance Learning Round-table” at the 2014 Faculty Workshop Day. Her latest volunteer venture will be as the Dental Assisting Co-Lead for the upcoming Mission of Mercy “MoM” that will be held on June 13 and 14 here at Hudson Valley Community College.
Please join us in congratulating Gabriele for her accomplishments!
