On Sunday, June 1, Eric Kiel, Scott Freedman, Bob Racette, John Heiser, Lisa VanWie, Sherry Flansburg and Roger Pinke will be participating in the Saratoga Springs Tour de Cure. They will be cycling distances that range from 25 to 62.5 miles, as members of Team Moscatiello’s, to raise money for the American Diabetes Association.
Last year Eric, Scott, John and Roger raised $2,471 and Team Moscatiello’s raised $8,910 making an impressive first-year fund raising appearance as the 23rd top fund raising team at the Saratoga Springs Tour de Cure.
Please consider making a donation to one of your HVCC colleagues or joining Team Moscatiello’s to help us in our fight against diabetes. By making a donation or joining our team, you will be helping the Association provide community-based education programs, protect the rights of people with diabetes and fund critical research for a cure.
To make a donation go to http://main.diabetes.org/goto/moscatiellos and click on the DONATE TO A RIDER icon, then click the donate link next to the rider of your choice, complete the donation form and print your receipt (for tax purposes, of course). It’s just that easy!
If you prefer an in-person cash/check donation, that works as well. Simply contact any of the HVCC riders and they will happily accept your cash/check donation (a receipt can be provided by Roger Pinke, team captain).
We also would like more riders on the team; there are currently 27 — up eight riders from 2013!
To join Team Moscatiello’s go to http://main.diabetes.org/goto/moscatiellos and click on the JOIN THIS TEAM icon, then click the Register button (New Participant/User), and complete the registration process. All new Team Moscatiello’s riders will receive a high quality cycling jersey as appreciation for their participation in our fight against diabetes.
If you have any questions regarding joining or donating please contact Roger Pinke at r.pinke@hvcc.edu.
Thanks in advance for your support!
