The softball team (11-6) lost to #2 Herkimer County Community College (28-5), 16-1, in the opening round of regionals on Tuesday afternoon.
Maggie Miller (Maple Hill/Schodack) recorded a double on the day, and Abby Coyne (Niskayuna/Niskayuna) drove in the Vikings only run in the loss.
The softball team improved its record from last season and qualified for postseason play in Coach Chris Mazzeo’s second year as head coach.
