Viking Video Technologies covers two graduation ceremonies

Viking Video Technologies conducted a live webcast of Hudson Valley Community College’s Commencement on Saturday morning, May 17.  Then immediately turned around on Saturday afternoon and went to the University at Albany and set-up for its Commencement the following morning, Sunday, May 18.

Using a multi-camera setup for this remote event, HVCC’s graduation could be seen from a computer, iPad or smart phone. People watched the live webcast of SUNY Albany’s graduation from all over the world.

Viking Video Technologies received an e-mail from the mother of an HVCC graduate who was unable to attend the Commencement, but was able to watch the live webcast from California. She said, “The technology is there, and the fact that your college used it for those of us that couldn’t attend…I am grateful beyond expression. Even her grandparents out here got to watch, which is a feat of its own.  So, thank you, thank you, thank you for enabling us in California attend graduation – a once in a lifetime event.”
