Hudson Valley Community College is hosting a first-time event for incoming female students — Women’s Empowerment Workshop Day — on Aug. 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the BTC auditorium and meeting room. The event is supported by the Women’s Fund of the Capital Region.
Students interested in registering should RSVP by Friday, Aug. 8.
Women’s Empowerment Workshop Day is designed to provide extra support for young women as they begin their journey toward becoming future leaders in their communities and career fields. The day will lay a foundation for academic and personal success, as well as provide opportunities to meet classmates, college and community leaders, and to learn about academic and student support services.
