Centenarian Troy native honored by Fine Arts department

Mary Lambert, who recently celebrated her 102nd birthday, was honored by the college yesterday in a heartwarming event at her home in Niskayuna. The 102-year-old’s daughter in law contacted the president’s office a few months back and asked if the college could, in some way, recognize the Troy native, who has been painting for over 50 years.

Department chair Dorothy Reynolds and Dean Margaret Geehan visited the Lambert home in Niskayuna on Thursday, where they presented her with a certificate of recognition from the school. A reporter for the Troy Record, also was there to write about Mary’s recognition. Her story can be found here.
