In Haiti, there is a serious focus on education and back-to-school time is very important. However, there are many students who cannot afford to purchase supplies.
Therefore, my family decided to launch a backpack drive to help with the efforts by sponsored by several partnering orphanages to secure these supplies.
Please join us; your help is needed to buy:
— 100 backpacks (17 inches)
— 100 pencil sharpeners (dual blades)
— 300 regular erasers
— 50 basic scientific calculators
— 200 toothbrushes
— 100 hair combs
— 100 basic multipurpose utility boxes
— 100 school glue (white squeeze bottle)
— 50 basic semicircular 6” protractors
— 100 wire notebooks (150 sheet, 5 subjects, wide ruled)
— 500 black ink pens
— 500 blue ink pens
— 100 school scissors
— 50 packs of barrettes
— 5 rolls of ribbon (to make hair accessories)
The amount of everything including shipping to Haiti is $2,500 total or $25 per backpack! The prices include all of the supplies, backpacks and the shipping costs.
